Chicago Graystone Development pours approximately 1½-inch of concrete between floors. Above and below this concrete are sheets of 5/8-inch plywood. The solid hardwood flooring adds another ¾-inch. In the spaces between the trusses, a heavy, cellulose insulation is blown in.
