Chicago Graystone was formed in 1989. The goal of its principals Steven and Bo Golovan was to strengthen management of the significant portfolio of real estate that they and their partners had put together. This portfolio required much higher levels of professionalism and efficiency than the owners found in third party management companies that they had worked with.

In addition, these third party management companies didn’t function as true asset managers preparing the properties over time for ultimate liquidation at their highest and best use.

In order to achieve the transition to a highly capable full service asset and property management company, Chicago Graystone Realty systematically applied structure and discipline to all physical and financial aspects of property management. We hired experts in real estate and beyond to address a broad spectrum of real estate needs. In addition we expanded the highly sophisticated accounting database system to integrate and track all real estate activities. By strengthening the professional administration and management in this manner Chicago Graystone Realty has successfully enhanced the operational profitability and value of real estate assets under management.
